Dana Janell Spence, 47

Dana Janelle Spence, 47, lost her battle with cancer Aug. 10, 2023, at the Hospice House in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was born in Kankakee, Ill., on Dec. 27, 1975, to David and Gloria Spence. Dana also lived in St. Paul, Minn., and Eau Claire, Wis. She then moved to Coeur d'Alene to be closer to her father.

Dana met the love of her life, Chad Loew, in 2015 and they spent the last eight years together.

Dana will be remembered for her passion for life. She loved and had several animals. She had a huge heart and always went out of her way to help others. She was a very kind and selfless individual.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her sister, Roxann Larson, significant other Chad Loew, best friend Michelle Mitchell, great nephew Cole Triplett, uncles Fred Spence and Steve (Virginia) Spence, aunts Liz Spence and Genevieve Spence and many loving friends.

She was remembered at a private celebration of life in Hayden, Idaho, last weekend.
