PF Chamber calls for volunteers to help with Gray Fire

The Post Falls Chamber is calling for volunteers to help with every aspect of the Gray Fire in Medical Lake.

The chamber is looking for volunteers to help with mucking out homes. Volunteers need to be able-bodied and able to help with shovels, rakes, yard tools and/or dollies — chain saw, backhoe and other special equipment operators are a plus.

Volunteers will help people clear their homes of debris and take it to the curb for agencies to remove.

Help is also needed with volunteer check-in and coordination as well as food and water distribution for volunteers.

Fill out the three-page Volunteer Waiver and Release Form to volunteer. Email it to the chamber or fill it out online here: https://bit.ly/waivergrayfire

Homeowners are asked to fill out team muck forms as checklists for volunteers to know what the homeowner wishes them to do. Safety goggles, masks and gloves will be provided. Wear proper footwear — waterproof and mud boots are best — and pants are recommended. Bring personal water bottles.

Base of operations: Redemption Church, 400 E. Grace, Medical Lake, Wash. Show up at the church to check in for assignments.
