SCHOOL LEVIES: Start by voting no

Another way to look at the school levy situation. We already pay 100% of the school taxes, which the state distributes. Since our school district leads us to believe that is not enough, they ask us to pay 133% to fund the schools. The district needs to look at the 100% state funds and figure out how to operate within that budget.

The levy tax, which is only paid by property owners, needs to be changed. So start by voting NO on levies as many times as you have to.

A friend who has retired from 43 years of teaching in public schools in Idaho and Oregon says that Idaho public school systems are top heavy with administration and their associated costs. A good place to start the cost savings.

Spend your time and money getting the Legislature to fix/solve this. We are fed up with your never-ending levies always asking for more.
