BURGLARY: Personal for many at small business

Sometime in the night on April 2-3, Vanhoff’s Garden Center, our lovely little bit of happiness in the middle of town was vandalized and burglarized.

For those that work there, it hit hard. They work hard to care for the plants and bring joy to the hearts of local gardeners. This theft was personal to all the employees. Soil, plants and pottery were carted away by greed. To know the Vanhoff’s crew, especially Stacey, the owner…they are so kind and giving, It’s terrible to see Stacey look at our town in a different light. She and her brother, Theron have never experienced anything like this in their 15 years of business.

It’s a shame. There is a reward being offered for the conviction of those involved. If anyone saw anything suspicious, please contact the Coeur d’Alene police. There is a police report on file.
