FIRST AMENDMENT: Right to conspire to riot?

Dave Sheldon is suggesting in his Sept. 25 letter to the editor, that our founding fathers anticipated the right of 31 people to freely assemble in the back of an enclosed local U-Haul truck in “full costume.” That under the First Amendment there apparently is no such thing as conspiracy to riot.
