NIC homecoming scheduled for Saturday

COEUR d'ALENE — North Idaho College has no football team, but that isn't stopping the Cardinals from hosting a homecoming event on Saturday at NIC.

Homecoming is sponsored by the North Idaho College Athletics Booster Club.

The entire event is free and open to the public. There will be free homecoming shirts and a free barbecue (both while supplies last), as well as games and raffles.

Schedule of events:

11 a.m. — NIC volleyball vs. Treasure Valley Community College at Christianson Gymnasium

Noon — NIC women’s soccer vs. Community Colleges of Spokane at Eisenwinter Field

2 p.m. — NIC men’s soccer vs. Community Colleges of Spokane at Eisenwinter Field

3 p.m. — NIC wrestling intrasquad scrimmage at Christianson Gymnasium

3 p.m. — Free barbecue begins in the Christianson Gymnasium parking lot

4 p.m. — NIC golf introduction and putting contest in the Christianson Gymnasium parking lot

5 p.m. — NIC men’s and women’s basketball showcase at Christianson Gymnasium
