REAWAKEN TOUR: Not fake news

In response to Ashley Spencer’s (Coeur d’Alene) letter on Sunday about why The Press was right not to cover the Reawaken America Tour.

When I first read Ashley’s letter, I felt sorry for her! But I quickly realized, Ashley, there’s hope for you! And all you have to do is remove the blinders you are wearing on your eyes! Easy-peasy! Just because you do not want to read about the Tour, doesn’t make it fake news and/or a group of conspiracy theorists.

It was a fact, an actual true happening, with thousands in attendance, and The Press had an obligation to cover it. But, we all know The Press, like most other media in this country, is also highly motivated by their own politics, thus, many things get left out. Even IF the tour WAS “fake” with crazy people speaking — The Press should have covered it. They don’t have to agree with any of it, but they had an obligation to cover it.

Now, about those blinders…they are causing you to believe, without verifying, that…the economy has recovered, the pandemic is over, the southern border is secure, parents of school kids are terrorists, MAGA Republicans are the biggest threat to America China is our friend, and abortion is not murder! C’mon now, Ashley. Help yourself, help America, take them off!
