Alternative heavy metal band Alter Bridge will perform on Northern Quest Resort and Casino’s Pend Oreille Pavilion stage for the first time March 25 as part of the band's Pawns and Kings national tour.

Lead vocalist and guitarist Myles Kennedy grew up near Colbert, Wash. and graduated from Mead High School. He joined Alter Bridge when it was based in Orlando and founded in 2004. Other founding band members include lead guitarist Mark Tremonti, bassist Brian Marshall and drummer Scott Phillips.

The band released its debut album "One Day Remains" in August 2004, with songs mostly written by Tremonti the prior year. The album reached No. 5 on the Billboard charts. Alter Bridge's post-grunge rock style shines through several more albums as well as their hits, “Metalingus,” “Watch Over You” and “Open Your Eyes.”
