LITTER: A trashy plea
After spending 46 hours picking up 48 bags of trash between mile marker 449 and 450 on U.S. 95, I have come to realize that we cannot change the behavior of our fellow citizens that believe it is their God given right to throw their trash out while driving our highways.
My request is for those that are inclined to throw out their trash to just throw it straight down on the road, not in the swales, gully or weeds but right on the road. That way when this 74-year-old, retired U.S. Army guy is out cleaning up after you, he doesn’t have to work so hard. After all, it’s just common sense.
