Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE — Junior Lily Daniel had 42 assists, 12 digs and five aces as the visiting Lumberjacks beat the Bulldogs in Central Idaho League play.

Ava Stancil added 13 kills for St. Maries (6-3, 3-0 CIL), Stacie Mitchell had 12 kills, Mia Asbury and Taci Watkins eight kills each, Berkli McGreal 20 digs.

“Wasn’t our best performance, couldn’t seem to find our groove,” St. Maries coach Rachele Fischer said. “Had some crucial missed serves and hitting errors. A win is a win, though, and it was a team effort as far as earning points which is good, because if one player was off then another was able to put it away, and vice versa. We need to keep pushing ourselves to play to our potential and not the yo-yo inconsistencies.”

Grangeville is 1-4, 1-2.

St. Maries travels to Timberlake on Tuesday.
