VAN VOORHEES VERDICT: Appalling

I’m both saddened and appalled at the “verdict” rendered this week in the election fraud charge of Laura Van Voorhees. The blatant disregard for the rule of law in this case must be addressed.

This woman openly admitted to breaking the law regarding electioneering, witnesses backed up her confession, and yet a “jury of her peers” let her off. It feels like the south in the 1930s where the jury just pretends to go through the motions.

This dysfunctional transplant from Washington, who has an ax to grind in her personal life and relationship with her daughter, found fertile ground right here in North Idaho to destroy faith in elections and break the law without consequence as long as it serves a political agenda.

I would hope an appeal would be forthcoming, but chances are greater now that the judge might put aside the law in favor of his/her own political agenda too. That jury is guilty of helping to destroy law and order.

Our great country is being destroyed by the very people who claim to be the patriots who want to make America great. This surely is not that.
