PREP ROUNDUP: Post Falls downs Lakeland in four sets

RATHDRUM — Kylie Munday had 17 kills, 16 assists and 13 digs for Post Falls in a 23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 28-26 win over the Lakeland Hawks in a nonleague match at Hawk Court on Wednesday.

Trinity Byrne had 12 digs and three aces, Carleen Codd 20 assists, Vanessa Kisson 12 digs and two blocks for Post Falls (9-0), which travels to Coeur d’Alene on Tuesday.

Landree Simon had 11 kills, Ziya Munyer five blocks, Ellie Carlson 13 digs, Addy Hocking four aces and Olivia Zazuatta 21 assists for Lakeland (5-5), which hosts Timberlake on Sept. 8.

“It was a hard fight tonight and every point was a battle,” Lakeland coach Kelsie Badger said. “In the end, we came up short, but played hard and aggressively. Landree looked great tonight and had some big swings. Ellie, Addy and Emily (Morlan) had great defense and kept the ball alive.”

WALLACE — Lily Daniel had 32 assists and eight aces for the Lumberjacks in a 24-26, 25-18, 25-14, 25-16 win over the Miners in a nonleague match at Kirby Krulitz Court.

Stacie Mitchell had 13 kills for St. Maries, which travels to Orofino on Sept. 8.

Britany Phillips had five kills, Savannah Smith five kills and three aces, Aubrey Birdsell 12 assists and Kynadee Gilmore 10 digs for Wallace (0-2), which competes in a tri-match with Deary and Kootenai on Saturday at Kootenai High.
