ELECTION: Vote Miranda for county commissioner

Leadership is different from management. Managers tell you they know what is best. Leaders involve the people in determining what is best for them. Managers tell employees, stakeholders and/or voters to get in line with management ideas. A leader brings group members together to find solutions that benefit everyone, building buy in to solutions as they work. When I cast my vote, I am looking for a leader. Someone who respects me and trusts me to think for myself when I make a decision. That is why Ruben Miranda is my choice for county commissioner.

Ruben Miranda has seen Kootenai County grow and change firsthand. The first time he ran for the County Commission in 2018, he was concerned about the interests of commissioners who voted to overlook the building code for the sake of developers. Ruben stepped up to run against those commissioners who demonstrated a lack of interest in the community. He knew public safety was the most important concern. Mr. Miranda has held leadership roles in the military, in a large corporation and in his software business. He has experienced the need to work with a variety of people with differing interests. Ruben can bring all members of Kootenai County together. It is time to stop dividing our county as if our interests are different, they are not. We are all neighbors and residents of the same county. We need elected officials who treat us as such. That is why Ruben Miranda has my vote.
