NIC ELECTION: Vote Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

North Idaho College (NIC) enrolls students and charges them tuition and fees for its many outstanding programs. Our community’s college works very much like other businesses we all use every day. However, when college board members chase ideological “butterflies,” the college’s ability to address opportunities and challenges becomes Mission Impossible.

Enrollment at NIC has declined for years. Under former Chair Todd Banducci’s direction, the distracted board majority caused accreditation issues that prevented students and families from considering enrolling at NIC. Mr. McKenzie and he were also great at chasing away experienced college executives and wasting taxpayer money on lawsuit settlements.

It is past time to elect qualified local board candidates committed to improving programs, maintaining accreditation and increasing enrollment. Join us in voting on Nov. 8 to elect commonsense conservatives Pete Broschet, Brad Corkill and Tarie Zimmerman, to get NIC back to its mission of graduating employable students. Our local employers, students and their families will thank you.
