HEALTH CARE: Read what Republicans in Congress are saying

Many Republicans promise that if they take the House and the Senate that they will drastically cut Social Security and Medicare, and also will undo the deal that the Biden administration passed to limit what drug companies can charge for drugs. This bill allowed Medicare to negotiate with drug companies to bring down the prices of drugs.

Many of these Republicans also want to do away with the Affordable Care Act. Some friends of mine were paying $2,000 a month for each of them for private insurance and that was more than 20 years ago. What private insurance would cost today would be beyond what most middle-income people could pay.

Reading what Jim Jordan and the other Republicans are saying is important.
