STUDENT LOANS: Drive up cost of college?
Let’s think about who was given loans with no way out of and no assets only debt on future jobs which their schooling may not qualify them for. Before you go and think that I have no knowledge about what I am talking about, in the ’60s and ’70s, I was able to go through three years of college and three years of trade school with a family and no school debt (slavery).
Now most people with no parents to pay their way through college are $40,000 to $80,000 in debt (slavery), with some degrees having no relative work or (jobs) skills. These loans were given to young students that have never had a loan in their life and told that these loans were the only way through college.
While on the other hand, trade schools train you with real usable Job skills that companies want. There are those who say that I just went to work for a company and worked my way up the ladder. Wait a minute did that company train you and pay your way through the training? Why are these companies not willing to pay for the college degrees which they require, but are willing to pay for the training of skilled labor? We have state colleges that our taxes set up and pay for. Why are they so expensive for full-time students to attend? Is it because of these student loans make it easy to raise the housing and tuition cost? Just asking questions.
