Patricia "Pat" Ann Greeley, 78

Patricia Ann (Pat) Greeley, 78, of Spokane Valley, Wash., went to be with the Lord on Sept. 11, 2022, at MultiCare Valley Hospital in Spokane Valley.

Patricia was born Dec. 23, 1943, to Conrad and Myrtle (Larson) Bjaaland in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Merlin Bjaaland; sister, Janet Marfil; sister, Darlene Runyon; and sister, Karen Stoughton.

Patricia grew up going to school in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, but finished her last year graduating from North Central High School in Spokane.

Patricia married Gary William Greeley on Oct. 20, 1962, and then went on to receive her LPN training in Pendleton, Ore. She worked for a few years as a surgical nurse at Deaconess Hospital. Together they had three children, Gregory William Greeley, Pamela Dawnelle (Greeley) Kennedy and Rebecca Liane Greeley.

Patricia worked alongside her husband for several years in running the Bread Board restaurants in Spokane while living in Fairfield, Wash. A few years after moving back to Spokane, Gary and Patricia sold the business and Patricia returned to school to receive her associate in arts at Spokane Community College and she continued on to receive her bachelor of arts in psychology and her master of education from Whitworth College focusing on guidance and counseling. She worked for a few years at Spokane Mental Health and as a licensed private counselor in Spokane.

Patricia was known for her unfaltering belief in Jesus and family. Later in life, she was the matriarch of her family, keeping ties on her children and grandchildren along with surviving sisters, brother, countless nieces and nephews and the many grand nieces and nephews located all around the Inland Northwest and beyond. Patricia loved singing with her sisters, baking, and was passionate about sewing and quilt making. She was a very active member of the weekly quilting group at the Spokane Valley Assembly.

Patricia is survived by her husband Gary Greeley and her children Gregory (Karen) Greeley, Pamela (Darrin) Kennedy, and Rebecca Greeley. Along with her grandchildren Alyssa (Derrick Fry), Jared (Taylor) Kennedy, Violet Kennedy, Megan Greeley (Andrew Gregory), Katherine (James) Matthews, Joshua Kennedy and Julia Greeley who are eternally grateful for the love and support they received from Patricia. She will be missed until the day we join her in Heaven!
