Kootenai Health 501(c)(3) info session Dec. 8

The Joint Chamber Public Policy Committee will present a moderated informational session on the Kootenai Health board of trustees’ consideration of transitioning from a district hospital to a non-profit 501(c)(3). Kootenai Health leaders will provide background information on the current hospital legal structure, consideration of a 501(c)(3) and implications of each for Kootenai Health and the community.

This informational session will be Thursday, Dec. 8, 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Best Western Plus Coeur d’Alene Inn, 506 West Appleway Ave., Coeur d'Alene. The session is free and open to the public.

Session topics will include Kootenai Health’s current legal structure, consideration of a 501(c)(3) legal structure, review of a white paper assessing the 501(c)(3) and time to respond to questions that have been submitted.

Questions may be submitted in advance of the forum to connect@cdachamber.com. The deadline for questions is Friday, Dec. 2.

The Joint Chambers include the Coeur d’Alene Regional Chamber, Hayden Chamber of Commerce, Post Falls Area Chamber of Commerce, and Rathdrum Chamber. The four organizations work together to collectively determine positions on public policy and share information with their members.
