Thomas Wyain Metcalf

Born in Golden, Okla., on June 18, 1933.

Passed Nov. 17, 2022, in Post Falls, Idaho.

Tom was the second of three boys. He met and married Maria in Germany while serving as part of the Army occupation force after World War II.

They spent 67 years honeymooning, had eight children, 62 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

Tom was a devoted Roman Catholic and a wonderful example of humility and quiet strength. Tom worked as a bus driver and a redi-mix truck driver. He was a teamster for 20 years. He was always “calm & collected.” His ready smile and easy laugh made him easy to talk to.

Rosary will be held Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, at 7 p.m. with funeral Mass on Monday, Nov. 21, 2022, at 9:30 a.m. located at Immaculate Conception 606 E. Fifth Ave., Post Falls, ID 83854.
