PREP GIRLS BASKETBALL: Trojans roll past Moscow in opener

| November 17, 2022 1:15 AM

POST FALLS — First-year Post Falls coach Brian Hall knows that to find success this season, the Trojans will have to do it with a little bit of balance.

The Trojans, who opened the game on a 25-0 run, outscored the visiting Moscow Bears 78-32 in the Inland Empire League opener for both at The Arena on Wednesday.

Kinlee McLean and Myckenzie Mitley scored 16 points each, Brooklyn Brennan 14, Letti Asper 11 and Capri Sims 10 points for Post Falls, which had 19 steals.

“We were really balanced all around,” Hall said. “They were unselfish, communicated and really spread the ball around. Our only returner that played last year was Capri, so it’s the other kids' time to shine. Kinlee, Myckenzie and Brooklyn really were making some plays on defense and stepped up tonight.”

Post Falls hosts Lakeland on Saturday.

Moscow hosts Coeur d’Alene on Friday.
