PAC POWER: Items of interest

Thank you to the author of the Nov. 6 front-page article (which was continued on page 3) about financial contributions for the recent elections. I am unable to thank its author as it was not provided. It is helpful to provide how much money was collected and spent in so many races.

Of interest is that the KCRCC had even before the election day had spent more than 25% more than it had collected. Perhaps additional contributions have been received, and will be reported to cover the shortfall.

Another item of interest reported is that The Friends of NIC PAC had spent merely 11% of its contributions. It would be useful to know if they had spent the rest or if there were any proceeds remaining, and how much, if they will be contributing that left over to a local non-political charity. Perhaps your author will be thorough and report on the final tally, as well.
