PEOPLE’S PEN: Wrong about Kootenai County elections process

I just received The People’s Pen — the far-right little newspaper. Mr. Alfieri questioned Kootenai County’s election process. I would suggest that he come and work as a poll worker before he criticizes our election procedures.

I believe the workers are honest, hardworking people and are not out to change the outcome of any election — which would be very difficult. They are for the most part retired folk that feel that they are contributing to the integrity of our elections. It certainly is not the easiest job and involves about a 14-hour day. Each worker is required to attend at least one training session and sometimes more.

There are so many safeguards that fraudulent voting or changes in election outcomes would be extremely difficult if not impossible. Boy, truth in campaigning would be nice — and that applies to all sides. Please be an informed voter and don’t just go by the KCRCC if you are a true Republican with common sense and belief in our great country and state.
