NIC ELECTION: Vote for Broschet, Corkill and Zimmerman

People that have lived in Coeur d’Alene have always appreciated what our community college has to offer. NIC is an educational and economical asset for our community and is a conduit for local youth to advance their careers. Recently it has expanded to allow students to take four-year courses through universities to complete their degrees. U of I is bringing more of their programs to Cd’A just as WSU did for Spokane to build the education corridor. U of I has very strong technical programs and is exceptionally good at cybersecurity. They have brought these programs along with robotics to Cd’A. This is the direction and programs that the college needs to be focused on moving into in the future.

The future of the college is now in jeopardy with the upcoming election of the board. It is our hope that newcomers coming to the area will realize NIC’s worth just as locals have for years. However, some of those that serve on the board are not looking to improve on the college and helping it grow, but they are more focused on political agendas driven by national politics and ideas that put the future of NIC at risk.

Please ensure the future of our exceptional community college by voting for a professional board including Brad Corkill, Pete Broschet and Tarie Zimmerman rather than those trying to hijack the school for their own political agendas and who don’t belong anywhere close to an educational institution.
