HOLIDAY: Be safe out there
Each year, Memorial Day serves as a reminder of the freedom we have and the bravery and sacrifice of those that have fought to preserve it. The holiday also marks the unofficial start of summer and unfortunately, one of the most dangerous times of year for drivers on our roads.
This May 30, as you recognize those who courageously defended our country, we encourage you to do your part to protect your own local community by choosing to “Decide to Ride.”
Anheuser-Busch, Uber, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), Centennial Distributing, the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Department, and other local law enforcement are proud to be a part of the special moments where we all come together, and we are committed to helping safeguard your Memorial Day traditions for years to come.
Before you raise a glass at your Memorial Day gatherings, remember to plan ahead and schedule a ride share to and from the festivities. Centennial Distributing is providing the Sheriff’s Dept. with $10 off Uber ride codes to share with patrons on Memorial Day weekend.
You can’t drive drunk if you don’t drive there and by focusing on planning ahead, it makes it easier for you to make smart decisions while having a happy and safe Memorial Day.
