Robert Louis Campbell, 47

| May 21, 2022 1:00 AM

Robert Louis Campbell, 47, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away Feb. 25, 2022. Robert, (Rob or Robbie) was born in Sandpoint, Idaho, on Dec. 28, 1974, to Edward and Christine Campbell. Rob grew up in Rathdrum, Idaho, and graduated from Lakeland High School in 1993. Rob was a volunteer firefighter for Rathdrum Fire Department for 12 years. He was employed by Atlas Building Center and then BMC before moving to the Athol Super 1 Ace Hardware as the Assistant Manager. While Rob held many positions over the years, he was the happiest at Ace Hardware.

Rob enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and NASCAR. One year he went to Atlanta, Ga., for a Richard Petty driving experience; he had so much fun doing that, he wanted to go much faster than they would let him. Rob also enjoyed watching and cheering for the Gonzaga men’s basketball team. Rob enjoyed, most of all, his smoker. He was always smoking something and would invite friends over to share what he had smoked. Rob used to take pictures of what he smoked and send them to Dan Wright; they were always sending each other pictures, it was like they were having a contest between the two of them of who’s looked the best.

Rob was a very kind, loving generous man and a very social person who enjoyed having friends over for a few beers, a few laughs and a good time. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, enthusiasm for life and the love he had for his family and friends.

Rob was very much loved and will be deeply missed by his best friend and wife, Wyline Parker, her son Richard Jameson, by his parents, Edward and Christine Campbell; his brother, Scott Campbell and wife Tina Campbell; his nephew, Eric Campbell; his niece, Erin Campbell; and his great-nephews, Cameron Todhunter and Karter Todhunter, and all of his family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. May 25, 2022, at Yates Funeral Home and Gathering Center, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Avenue, Hayden, Idaho.
