Outrun a trooper, if you can

| May 20, 2022 1:00 AM

COEUR d'ALENE — Registration is open for a 5K Foot Pursuit at McEuen Park on Saturday, June 4.

The Foot Pursuit, in its fourth year, begins with a siren start with the Idaho State Police troopers at 9 a.m. A 3.1-mile fun run and family walk will immediately follow, and runners are welcome to chase down the troopers.

The event is a fundraiser for North Idaho Court Appointed Special Advocates and highlights the impact of drug exposure on children.

More than half the children CASA serves are sheltered by law enforcement.

“The event will educate our community on the state’s police efforts to interdict drugs coming into North Idaho while promoting CASA’s work to advocate for the children who suffer from the effects of drug use in their families," said ISP Capt. John Kempf.'

Registration includes a race T-shirt. The first 100 participants crossing the finish line will receive a medal. Register at www.northidahocasa.org/events
