2021 champions: Eagle boys, Rocky Mountain girls

Local qualifiers: Boys, Cole Jaworski, Grant Potter, Trey Nipp, Parker Freeman, Luke West, all of Coeur d’Alene; girls, Taylor Potter, Peyton Blood, Brianna Priest, Paige Crabb, Cassandra Lee, all of Coeur d’Alene.

Notes: Jaworski, Nipp, Freeman and West were all on the Vikings’ third-place team at state last year at Avondale. And Potter, a freshman, was medalist at Tuesday’s 5A Region 1 tournament. … Freeman placed seventh at state last year, Jaworski ninth … Blake Helms of Eagle, fourth at state last year, is the highest-finishing returnee … Wheaton Ennis, the state 5A boys medalist last year as a freshman at Eagle, is now playing in Arizona … Priest, Potter and Crabb were all on Coeur d’Alene’s fourth-place girls team at state last year. Blood, a junior, was medalist at regionals on Tuesday … Brooke Patterson of Eagle, second last year, and Maddie Montoya of Borah, who was third, are back at state … Rocky Mountain did not qualify for state this year.

2021 champions: Twin Falls boys, Sandpoint girls

Local qualifiers: Boys, Brady Hanna, Lakeland; Joey Aexel, Sandpoint. Girls, Alexa Tuinstra, Taylor Mire, Audrey Sheffler, Reagan Samuels, Claire Loutzenhiser, all of Sandpoint.

Notes: Sheffler is the lone returnee from last year’s Sandpoint girls team which won state for the first time.

At River Bend Golf Course, Wilder

2021 champions: Kellogg boys, Bonners Ferry girls

Local qualifiers: Boys, Archie Rauenhorst, Griffey Doerschel, Blake Coburn, Brodie Robinson, Tanner Groves, all of Kellogg; Luke Butler, Kameron Salesky, Bowen Fegert, Jace Yount, Hayden Stockton, all of Priest River; Girls, Braylyn Bayer, Avery Bayer, Cazli Iacolucci, Mia Blackmore, Holly Alexander, all of Bonners Ferry; Alyssa Milliron, Jezzy Hall, Gracie Miller, Izzy Groves, Elliott Hei, all of Kellogg.

Notes: Rauenhorst, who tied for fourth last year, and Doerschel return from last year’s state champs. Stephen Paul, the state 3A medalist last year as a freshman at Kellogg, moved to Florida … Carter Williams of Weiser, who was second last year at state, is the top-finishing returnee … Kimberly returns four of its five players from last year’s team that finished second, two strokes behind Kellogg … Priest River’s boys were sixth last year … The Bayer twins, sophomores Braylyn and Avery, return for Bonners Ferry, which won its first state girls title last year. Braylyn was second at state last year, Avery fifth … Cali Iacolucci, seventh last year, and Mia Blackmore are also back from the Badgers’ state team last year … Kellogg’s girls were fourth last year … Reece Garey of Kimberly, who was girls medalist by six strokes last year, also returns.

Local qualifiers: Boys, Carson Rubert, Caleb Schroeder, CJ Elliott, Gabe Missamore, Isaiah Bateman, all of Genesis Prep; Seth Swallows, Greyson Sands, Corbin Scheer, Landon Warren, Lance Hamblin, all of St. Maries; Cole Reuter, Clark Fork; Beau Jones, Tucker Sanchez, both of Lakeside. Girls, Hope Aasgard, Sami Sindt, Keianna Olson, Emmah Spooner, Jaelyn Barden, all of St. Maries; Kendra Korasick, Wallace.

Notes: Swallows, Sands, Scheer and Warren are back from last year’s St. Maries team that finished ninth at state … Gavin Rodeghiero of North Star Charter, who won boys medalist honors by one shot last year, returns … Sindt, Olson and Aasgard are back from St. Maries’ girls team that finished fifth last year — two shots back of fourth and a trophy … Nampa Christian’s girls did not qualify this year.
