Volunteer opportunities for Rathdrum residents

RATHDRUM — Rathdrum residents are invited to volunteer today to clean up Pinegrove Cemetery at 6693 ID-53, from 10 a.m. until noon. Volunteers should bring rakes and gloves. Lunch will be served afterwards at the Rathdrum Lions Club at 16114 N. Meyer Rd.

A city wide yard sale takes place today as well, beginning at 8 a.m. Yard sale location maps can be downloaded via a link at rathdrum.org.

Parks and Recreation is coordinating a community volunteer litter pickup for the city Saturday, May 21. Volunteers should meet at 9 a.m. at 7310 W. Boekel Rd. to be coordinated into groups.

Parks and Recreation Director Eric Singer said that parts of the city that need the most attention will be identified, such as Meyer Road, Lancaster Road and entry points into town.
