CHRISTENSEN: A judge’s judge

| May 13, 2022 1:00 AM

Judge Rich Christensen is running for re-election in the upcoming May 17 primary election (the election of judges in Idaho occurs in the primary election).

Judge Christensen has done an excellent job as District Judge, and deserves your vote. He successfully served the public as Prosecuting Attorney, earning the respect of law enforcement, prior to his appointment nine years ago by the Republican governor to sit as the District Judge in Coeur d’Alene.

Over the past nine years, Judge Christensen has consistently applied the law fairly in the cases, both civil and criminal, that have come before him. After 42 years of courtroom experience in Kootenai County and the First District, with 20 years as an attorney and 22 as a District Judge (the last 11 as a Senior Judge), I have found that the best test for the quality of a sitting judge is to ask the local attorneys who appear in court.

Judge Christensen is well respected by the attorneys in the First District, who know Judge Christensen will provide a fair hearing, decide their case on the merits, and correctly apply the relevant law. Judge Christensen’s fellow judges chose him to act as Administrative District Judge, overseeing all five counties in the First District. Our entire community has been well served by Judge Christensen. He has earned your vote to continue in office as District Judge. Please vote to reelect Judge Christensen.
