POST FALLS — The Post Falls Museum plans to reopen for the season on May 21. Currently rekindling a partnership with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, some artifacts may be loaned to the museum for display, said Joe Butler, secretary for the Post Falls Historical Society.

Last year at least 1,068 visitors stopped in to see the museum. This year the historical society hopes to increase attendance with a membership promotion.

A partnership with the Idaho State Historical Society (ISHS) grants those who join the Post Falls Historical Society access to museums across Idaho. A membership with the Post Falls Historical Society costs $20 for individuals, $30 for families, $75 for business members or $100 at the contributor level.

Participating historical sites include: Idaho State Museum and Old Idaho Penitentiary in Boise, the Latah County Historical Society in Moscow, Museum of North Idaho in Coeur d’Alene and others. Visit history.idaho.gov/membership for details.

The Post Falls Museum is at 101 E. Fourth Ave. in Post Falls. They can be reached at 208-262-9642. They will be open for visitors Wednesday through Saturday.
