PRAYERS: Keep invocations

| May 6, 2022 1:00 AM

On 9/11, after the fall of the towers, the entire nation offered prayers for comfort, wisdom, guidance and grace to the Almighty God. It was a ubiquitous national crisis, and humanity felt the necessity for Divine intervention.

Invocation is not for emergencies alone. Relegating its exercise to an isolated troubling predicament illustrates humanity’s hubris and foolishness. Humility is a heart condition that understands it requires providential help, especially with our governmental leaders — whether we live in peace or conflict.

Please do not surrender to an atheistic approach to governing. Otherwise, we’ll see another titanic collapse that will jolt us back to our desperate reliance on The Almighty — “Our Father who art in heaven.”
