END PRAYER?: Hell no!

Do not end the prayers before Coeur d’Alene City Council meetings. This was suggested because the city could open itself up to legal liabilities. This is exactly what the Left wants, fear of liabilities, saying some cities have been sued for not allowing satanists or other religious groups from offering the invocation.

Let’s say one of these other groups wants to invoke some out of the norm invocation, let them. That’s what freedom of speech is. One weird invocation is not going to shatter the city, we are strong. We know nut jobs when we hear them and will just dismiss it very quickly.

It’s on all our currency, paper and coins, “In God We Trust.” The Left eventually will try to get rid of this also, because of some fear of lawsuit, that it might offend someone.

We cannot live in a world where some people might be offended. Some of our colleges have these so called “safe rooms” where these poor educated children can go if they are offended by free speech.

The Left is attacking everything good in our country. Sometimes they do it in these small ways and always in the guise of possible lawsuits. Don’t give in, not one inch.

We are strong enough to listen to some invocation that we do not like. I may not like what they say, yet that is what freedom is all about.

Our graveyards are filled with veterans who died for free speech.
