ELECTION: Assessing dire situation
When Rich Houser was Kootenai County Assessor, the county was a great place to work, and he represented the taxpayer and the employees with respect and compassion.
Mr. Kovacs was appointed Kootenai County Assessor after Rich Houser’s passing. It’s hard to believe that in such a short time, employees who have been part of that office for so many years are so unhappy with the way things are being run, they are willing to risk their employment by signing a document of No Confidence against Mr. Kovacs.
I worked for the Kootenai County Assessor’s Office for 20 years under four assessors, both Democrats and Republicans. They were all very competent individuals who respected and supported the county employees.
On May 17, take your Kootenai County Republican Central Committee sample ballot with you to the voting booth and vote for the other guys.
RICH PIAZZA
