LEWISTON — Coeur d’Alene won the boys tournament, and finished second in the girls’ event Monday at the Lewiston Invitational at Bryden Canyon Golf Course.
Cole Jaworski and Trey Nipp each shot even-par 71s for Coeur d’Alene, which totaled 305, three-shots better than second-place Lewiston.
Coeur d’Alene’s girls shot 382, 15 strokes behind first-place Lewiston. Hayden Crenshaw led the Viking girls with a 91.
“The girls were awesome from tee to green, but our putting and short game were a little off,” Coeur d’Alene girls coach Jeff Lake said. “We really haven’t had a lot of work yet around the green due to the weather up in Coeur d’Alene, but I have no doubt we will improve that area of our game and our scores will reap the benefit.”
