HAYDEN: Best choice for mayor

Roger Saterfiel deserves to be appointed interim mayor of the city of Hayden.

Having attended many city council meetings in the last year, I have come to recognize his leadership skills. He has built meaningful, supportive working relationships with staff members; essential for a positive, productive work environment. He listens, observes and asks questions to better understand confusing issues such as zoning. He is willing to acknowledge mistakes and strives for transparency in his decision making.

I may disagree with some of his decisions, but I know he wants what is best for the city of Hayden as do I. I believe he will promote a collaborative environment on the council which is needed. He has the gravitas, experience and willingness to lead the city. Why look outside the council for a mayor when a good candidate is before us?
