PUTZ: A ‘model American’
Mr. Blaszak’s weak and formulaic hit piece on Lynda Putz was so wide of the mark, it would be humorous if not for his malevolent intent. Spewing such hatred out of complete ignorance is the mark of a feeble mind trying to express itself forcibly.
Lynda’s column shed light on what it’s like to be wrongly accused of racism — a sting I once felt in my life, so I sympathize. Proven wrong, my accuser refused to recant because to do so required them to realize the character flaw was theirs, not mine. So the same missing DNA permitting the false accusation also obviated the correction. I sense something similar in you.
Your grandfather would roll over in his grave to know you raised the word Nazi here — trivializing his accomplishment to a tossed insult. He would also be embarrassed that you accused someone of racism who is herself a minority. Further, that you channeled whatever frustrations exist in your sad little hate filled life against someone who spent her career fighting injustice and racism on the front lines, at personal risk every day.
In short, you could not be more wrong about Lynda. She is a model American, with more love and regard for her fellow citizens in a single pinkie than you probably have in your entire wracked body. I’m sad for your frustrations and will pray for a better circumstance for you.
