WAR: Tale of two Vladimirs

Vladimir the Great was born in AD 958. Vladimir Putin was born about a thousand years later in 1952. Vladimir I converted to the Orthodox Church in AD 988. Putin’s mother regularly took him to Russian Orthodox services. He wears a cross around his neck under his shirt?

Putin may have messianic motives in recovering Kyiv, Ukraine and more. Vladimir I was Grand Prince of Kyiv. Putin talks about the West’s moral decay.

Allied with Russia is Communist China whose leader is Xi Jinping, who would relate more to another Vladimir — Vladimir Lenin (1870-1924).

Pitted against Biden, Putin and Xi Jinping are like two wolves circling a poor coyote. Boxed in Biden gave up U.S. oil independence to be dependent on Russian oil. So, Biden’s follies helped to fund Putin’s war on Ukraine!

America misses President George Washington’s genius and love of freedom, and President Dwight Eisenhower’s experience in the holocaust of wars. Washington said, “avoid foreign entanglements” (1796). Eisenhower said, “we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence by the military-industrial complex” (1961). Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron (NATO) mention their nuclear capability. That’s World War III talk.

Let’s pray that Putin’s mother taught him that we are to “love GOD and our neighbor” (Mark 12:30-31). We do not know what Xi Jinping’s mother taught him?
