TRIBUTE: To Ukraine Patriots

Breathes there the man, with soul so dead,

Who never to himself hath said,

This is my own, my native land?

— Sir Walter Scott

Watching the young Ukrainian youths in Kyiv’s underground subways making Molotov cocktails in order to protect their homeland, has brought tears to my eyes.

Patriotism is a must for a country to survive. The youth of a country are the source of its energy, vision and love of county. I am confident that there are enough of our U.S. citizens willing to make the needed sacrifice to maintain our freedom when they are called on.

The U.S. history contains stories of seemingly hopeless episodes of homeland defense — Bunker Hill, Alamo, Corregidor, Chosin Reservoir…
