LEGISLATORS: Burned by vote

Regarding their votes against a pay raise for wildland firefighters, let’s put Vito Barbieri, Ron Mendive, Doug Okuniewicz, Heather Scott and Tony Wisniewski on a wildland fire line for eight hours with a Pulaski and a shovel, then ask them how much an hour they think firefighters should be paid for facing death if the fire blows up or the wind blows the flames back over them.

This crew needs to polish its fiscal bona-fides where lives, homes, property and communities aren’t at peril.
