Local band, local music and local sound are in store this month.

The Sam Leyde Band is holding an album release concert for their new album, “Big Small Town,” at the Salvation Army Kroc Center theater on March 13.

“‘Big Small Town’ tells the story of growing up in a small town and watching that town grow and change,” said lead guitarist and vocalist Dillon Campbell. “Very similar to the story of Cd’A.”

The band is based out of Coeur d’Alene and the album was recorded and produced in Rathdrum at Ohio Match Studios.

They will be playing original music from the new album, which was released on Feb. 22, as well as brand-new songs at the family-friendly event. Songs are a blend of country, Americana, blues and rock.

“It will be a lot of fun,” Campbell said.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 6 p.m. with another local band, The McCues, playing the opening set.

There will be giveaway and a raffle, as well as an after party at Mad Bomber Brewing Company in Hayden.

Tickets are $8. Tickets: https://www.kroccda.org/kroc-cda/events

“Big Small Town” can be found on all major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube Music.
