JAN. 6 HEARINGS: Political theater

Members of the Jan. 6 committee, consisting of seven Democrats and two Republicans, all cherry-picked by Nancy Pelosi, including the two Republican representatives, who are longtime “No Trumpers.” Pelosi denied the five Republican choices for the select committee. No due process; all prosecution and no defense; no cross examination of witnesses. Our government is based on an adversarial system, but not here. Choosing to show only select video clips from the volumes of video of the incident; again conveniently cherry picking. The committee picked and chose from President Trump’s remarks on Jan. 6, failing to include this very important comment by the president, “I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” The Jan. 6 Select Committee is all one-sided political theater. Don’t be fooled.
