Delmore (Bud) Moug, 96, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior surrounded by his children June 19, 2022. Bud was born June 29, 1925, in Jamestown, N.D., to Erwin and Lynnfred Moug.

As a youth, he worked on the farms in North Dakota and later joined the Navy and served during World War II. He spent over 30 years as a railroad engineer.

He married Harriet Farley on June 15, 1953. They raised their family in Jamestown, N.D., and Sheridan, Wyo. They had five children, Sandra (Richard) Bond of Sagle, Idaho, Joe (Robyn) Moug of Deer Park, Wash., Kathleen (Stuart) Zinke of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Jill (Darron) Cole of Tucson, Ariz., and Jonathan Moug (deceased). He had 11 treasured grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Bud was an awesome husband and a very fun dad and grandpa. He never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. Bud and Harriet loved to dance to the polkas and waltzes and they enjoyed spending many winters golfing and exploring southern Arizona. He was a fine horseman and passed his love of horses on to many of his children. Prior to passing, he lived at North Star Assisted Living and made many close friends and was a favorite among the wonderful staff. He was always a regular at bingo hour and filled the halls with his love of music. Bud had a love for life and people.

He was preceded in death by his dear wife, Harriet, son Jonathan, granddaughter Angela Johnson, and his sisters, Audrey Donegan and Alyce Hart.

Services will be held at Lake City Community Church in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at 10 a.m.
