JAN. 6: Time for Americans to come together

Thanks, Phil, for the Jan. 6 reality check; just not sure if the hardened American public can morph back to reality.

American Politics is the latest cliffhanger reality series that is killing the nation from within.

The nation has forgotten that the Constitution is for “WE the People.”

My plea would be a truce — no flags, no bumper stickers, no T-shirts and no insurrectionists on any side. The political cycle never ends until self-immolation occurs. Our “great nation” is succumbing to self-destruction in the political divide.

Political discord has become the new religion of the USA, and it is not conducive to success in any endeavor, locally or globally.

We need to come together as a nation.

Or fall like all former empires and pass the baton to China with their Belt and Road Initiative that will eclipse this super power we call the UNITED States.
