DONATIONS: Limits needed

| June 19, 2022 1:00 AM

It seems to me that when the Supreme Court decided that big corporations "Are Citizens," that they now can contribute huge amounts of money to campaigns so they can buy anyone they want in to office. I ask you (the ordinary average citizen), is this OK? Why not get back to the basics and put a limit on the donations for anyone campaigning for office in this United States. Why should the rich have the final say who gets elected? This is criminal. We have a mayor in our small town of Spirit Lake in North Idaho, who got elected on his merits and not because of his bank account. God Bless the folks who have the vision to do the right thing and get rid of the rich who seem to think they are entitled and can push us aside and take over our government. If this continues to happen, our country is doomed and our way of life is in question. I for one will move out of this country if the Republicans ever take charge of this country. Our way of life will never be the same. We deserve better and we will fight for the freedom and the lifestyle we have come to enjoy and just never think you can change that. If you don't like this country, just get out. We will not miss you.
