Notice of Inviting Bids Leading Idaho Initiative - Coeur d'Alene Riverbank Stabilization Project. Sealed bid proposals for a riverbank stabilization project on the Coeur d'Alene River West of Kingston will be received by the Kootenai Shoshone Soil & Water Conservation District (KSSWCD), 7830 Meadowlark Way, Suite C-1, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815, until 3:00 p.m. local time Monday July 18,2022. A public bid opening will be held in accordance with Idaho Code 67-205 at the KSSWCD/NRCS Conference Room at 7830 Meadowlark Way, Suite C-1, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815 at approximately 9:00 a.m. local time Wednesday July 20,2022. The KSSWCD is requesting bids for a riverbank stabilization project on the Coeur d'Alene river, Shoshone County, Idaho. The restoration plan aims to restore approximately 1645 feet of streambank ranging 6- 12 feet in height. These streambanks likely contain highly contaminated soils, which are present from historical mining in the Silver Valley. Treatments vary along the project site depending on bank height, river flow, and landowner preferences, but will include vegetated riprap, bank barbs, and vegetative bank plantings.
