SCHOOLS: Securing buildings is possible

In response to John Barlow’s letter in the May 29 Press (originally published in 2018) Is anyone listening yet? I posted something similar to my Facebook page on May 27 and got a few likes and a few dislikes from a few knuckleheads who don’t understand anything about construction.

I have worked on a few significant construction projects with Mr. Barlow and he understands exactly what he’s talking about and this is not by any means a difficult task to retro fit older schools to comply with and build new ones to these parameters. I have been involved in the construction of one school in Coeur d’Alene that does have the capacity to operate like that now.

Just think if we as a nation would have listened to and acted on this common sense approach back in 2018? I hope people are listening now and spread the common sense approach Mr. Barlow has laid out to solve this problem for good.
