Kenneth Roland Knapp, 80

| June 1, 2022 1:00 AM

Kenneth was born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. He married Beverly Hensler in 1963. They had four children: Charles Knapp, Russell Knapp, Wess Knapp and Angela (Knapp) Clark. They later divorced in 1988.

Ken married Sandra Trotter in 1995 and gained his wonderful bonus family. He and Sandy later divorced but remained friends.

Ken did many things in his 80 years. Some of his favorite things were being a roofer, a logger, a tugboat operator, a mill worker and a volunteer fireman. He even tried his hand at playing the bass guitar. Some of his hobbies were whittling, carving wood and crafting things from leather. He truly enjoyed being in the woods. He had a story for every road and campground in the mountains.

Ken was gifted with 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ken was an amazing dad, dad-in-law, granddad and great-granddad. He was an instant friend to everyone he met. He was a fun-loving, easy-going and all-around spectacular human being. He genuinely loved his friends, family and bonus family and always wished he could do more and spend more time with all of them. Ken will be dearly missed and always loved.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, June 3, at English Funeral Chapel, 1700 N. Spokane St. Post Falls, Idaho.
