Police investigate reported shoe robbery

COEUR d’ALENE — A group of minors reportedly stole a pair of shoes at gunpoint Monday night.

Police said a group of juveniles approached an individual near the Third Street docks in Coeur d’Alene and expressed interest in buying the individual’s shoes.

Instead of handing over money for the shoes, however, one of the juveniles allegedly pulled out a gun and took the shoes. The group then left the area, police said.

Law enforcement found the suspects and the shoes, according to a news release, but not the gun.

Criminal charges are pending, police said.

An investigation is ongoing.
