CAROUSEL: Kudos to Ken, Rita and volunteers

| July 29, 2022 1:00 AM

A happy and fun celebration of National Carousel day on the 25th at the Coeur d’Alene carousel at city park was a huge success, thanks to Carousel foundation president Rita Sims — Snyder and her band of happy and energetic volunteers who kept the historic 100-year-old carousel whirling with happy faces.

Even after dealing with the pandemic and running the family-owned Coeur d’Alene Honda business, Rita still has dedicated every Sunday to making sure the Coeur d’Alene carousel is a success.

The unsung hero of this marvelous success story is Rita’s husband Ken Snyder, who has supported Rita and the carousel from the very start and has sacrificed his lovely wife’s presence every Sunday for the last six years. Hats off to Ken, Rita and the terrific volunteers and supporters for making more than 125,000 riders smile on the Coeur d’Alene Carousel.
