COEUR d'ALENE — Beer will be the main attraction at Coeur d’Alene’s Brewfest set for 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at McEuen Park.

About 30 types of craft beers and ciders will be offered, along with food, games and live music.

"Brewfest is always fun because it brings so many people into the community," said Chad Foust, owner of Sweet Lou's, event sponsor, which has more than 30 beers on tap just across from McEuen Park.

"It's great to see all these great beers right in front of our restaurant," he said.

Tickets, $30, include six five-ounce beer pours and a commemorative pint glass. Extra beer pours will be available for $2.

Some of the beers and providers include: Fremont Brewing, Golden Pilsner/Legend IPA; Jeremiah Johnson Brewing Company, Hazy Pale/Mountain Man Scotch Ale; 2 Towns Ciderhouse, Tropical Cosmic, Crisp/Seekout Raspberry Hard Seltzer; and Firestone Brewing, Hopnosis IPA (cold-style IPA)/805 Cerveza.

Emily Boyd, director of the Coeur d'Alene Downtown Association, said about 1,500 people are expected for the fifth anniversary of the event.

"It's a beautiful atmosphere," she said Thursday. "We're excited to have some fun with good beer and good music."

Admission is free for designated drivers and children.

Online ticket sales end tonight. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
